What you’ll be doing
Cognizec Software Solutions is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Tester to help ensure applications meet functional, usability, performance, and release-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
The role is based in Lahore and requires working on-site during the morning shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Review business requirements, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria to develop comprehensive test scenarios and cases.
- Plan and execute manual testing across web and software applications, including functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, evidence, severity, and impact.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to investigate issues and verify fixes.
- Participate in sprint planning, refinement, daily coordination, release validation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain test documentation, prepare quality reports, and communicate risks and release readiness.

What we’re looking for
- Strong hands-on experience in manual software quality assurance and structured test execution.
- Ability to interpret requirements and create positive, negative, boundary, and end-to-end test cases.
- Practical knowledge of functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, usability, and acceptance testing.
- Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools, including documentation and lifecycle follow-up.
- Understanding of Agile or Scrum practices, sprint workflows, and release validation.
- Ability to analyze logs, reproduce defects, assess risk, and communicate technical findings.
- Working knowledge of API testing, browser and device compatibility testing, and basic SQL is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, ownership, prioritization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
