What you’ll be doing
Shamim Majeed Foundation is a nonprofit organization in Rawalpindi committed to educational support. We are seeking a part-time Primary & Secondary Tutor to help students strengthen academic understanding, build confidence, and develop effective study habits.
The tutor will plan and deliver engaging lessons for primary and secondary students, adapting teaching methods to different learning levels and needs. The role requires patience, clear communication, sound subject knowledge, and a student-focused approach.

- Teach assigned primary and secondary subjects through structured individual or small-group sessions.
- Prepare lesson plans, learning activities, exercises, and revision material.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and relevant foundation staff.
- Identify learning gaps and adjust instruction to improve comprehension and performance.
- Encourage positive classroom behavior, participation, confidence, and independent learning.
- Maintain accurate attendance, progress, and lesson records.
- Collaborate professionally with colleagues to support the foundation’s educational and social-impact objectives.
What we’re looking for
- Strong command of the relevant primary and secondary curriculum and core academic concepts.
- Ability to explain complex topics in clear, age-appropriate language.
- Competence in lesson planning, tutoring, student assessment, and remedial instruction.
- Patience, empathy, adaptability, and the ability to motivate learners with different abilities.
- Clear verbal and written communication with students, colleagues, and families when required.
- Ability to use worksheets, presentations, educational resources, and basic digital learning tools.
- Strong organization, punctuality, classroom management, and record-keeping skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding, professional conduct, inclusion, and the foundation’s nonprofit mission.
