Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that develop conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs and use formative and summative assessment to monitor progress.
- Create clear lesson plans, learning objectives and supportive materials.
- Manage classroom behaviour with consistent, positive routines and maintain accurate records of attendance and assessments.
- Maintain assessment records, prepare reports and meet timelines tied to the school calendar.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams and school leaders to design scope, sequence and assessments.
- Contribute to school start-up activities and faculty development.
What we’re looking for
- Must-have
Strong subject knowledge in mathematics across the advertised grade levels (elementary arithmetic to secondary algebra and geometry). Proven classroom teaching skills: lesson planning, assessment design and behaviour management. Ability to differentiate instruction and use multiple teaching strategies. Competency with basic educational technologies (digital gradebook, presentation tools). Clear verbal and written communication skills. Organisational skills to maintain records and meet timelines. Collaborative experience working on curriculum or assessments. - Preferred
Experience in start-up or new-school environments and commitment to professional development.
