What you’ll be doing

Overview

The Senior Decoration Account Manager owns U.S. customer relationships and provides technical direction for the MTX Stitches program end-to-end. This role translates customer artwork into executable decoration specifications, selects appropriate techniques and substrate pairings, and shepherds orders through strike-off, sample approval, and production within SLA. It combines technical expertise in embroidery and applique with account management, engaging with U.S. brand owners, streetwear designers, college bookstores, and corporate merchandise buyers. The role also supports the MTX Custom program at approximately one-fifth capacity.

Working hours

4:00 PM - 12:00 AM PKT, Monday through Friday. One in-office or factory day per week (typically Wednesday) with the remainder remote from home in Karachi (hybrid). Role requires being available for Zoom/phone during U.S. business hours. Requires some travel.

Key responsibilities

  • Own U.S. accounts end-to-end for brand owners, streetwear designers, college bookstores, and corporate merchandise buyers.
  • Lead Zoom and phone calls during U.S. business hours; conduct artwork and technique conversations with customers.
  • Translate artwork into decoration specifications and tech packs; select appropriate decoration techniques and substrates.
  • Estimate stitch count on sight (within ~15%) and recommend cost/production methods.
  • Oversee strike-off, sample approval, and production to meet SLAs.
  • Coordinate with factories, production, and quality teams; troubleshoot production issues (e.g., chenille, applique, direct embroidery, print add-ons).
  • Manage timelines, approvals, and communication for US/EU brand customers.
  • Support MTX Custom program at lower capacity as needed.

What we’re looking for

Must-have

  • 8+ years apparel decoration or embroidery merchandising experience.
  • Fluent business English, spoken and written.
  • Hands-on familiarity with decoration techniques: chenille; twill/felt applique; camo/jersey applique; direct embroidery; screen-print add-ons.
  • Ability to estimate stitch count within ~15% on sight.
  • Experience handling U.S./EU brand customers directly.
  • Comfortable on Zoom/phone during U.S. business hours (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM PKT).
  • Working knowledge of Wilcom, Pulse, Tajima DG/ML or equivalent digitizing software.
  • Based in Karachi or willing to relocate to Karachi; hybrid with one in-office/factory day per week.

Preferred

  • Background at a Karachi/Lahore decoration export house or similar.
  • Hands-on digitization skill (Wilcom EmbroideryStudio or equivalent).
  • Prior experience writing decoration tech packs/specs.
  • Experience with chenille-specific production.
  • Knowledge of U.S. promotional-products and streetwear customer segments.
