What is Mustakbil?

Mustakbil.com is an online recruitment platform in Pakistan that connects jobseekers with employers. Jobseekers can build a resume, search and apply to jobs, and manage interviews. Employers can post jobs, screen applicants, run assessments, and schedule interviews — using free and paid options.

How do I sign in?

Click "Login" in the top navigation. Sign in with your email and password, or use Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Microsoft if you registered with one of those providers. If two-factor authentication is enabled on your account, enter the code from your authenticator app or the email/SMS code we send.

I forgot my password. What now?

On the login screen, tap "Forgot password?", enter the email address on your account, and we'll email you a reset link. The link is single-use and expires for security. If you don't receive it, check your spam folder or contact support@mustakbil.com.

Can I turn on two-factor authentication?

Yes — and you should. Go to your account security settings and enable two-factor authentication using an authenticator app (TOTP) or email codes. Once enabled, you'll be asked for a 6-digit code each time you sign in from a new device. You can also generate recovery codes in case you lose access to your phone.

Can I sign in with Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Microsoft?

Yes. We support sign-in with Google (including Google One Tap), Facebook, LinkedIn, and Microsoft. We only receive what the provider shares with us (your basic profile and verified email). You can disconnect a connected account from your Mustakbil account settings or from the provider's own settings.

How do I delete or deactivate my account?

Sign in, open Account Settings, and choose "Terminate Account". Your profile and resume are removed from public search and from employer access. We may retain limited records for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, and backup reasons as described in our Privacy Policy.

How do I create a jobseeker account?

Go to the Register page, fill in your name, email, password, and contact details, accept the terms, and you're in. You can then build your resume, set your preferences, and start applying. You can also register directly with Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Microsoft.

How do I create my resume?

From your dashboard, open Resume and follow the step-by-step builder for personal info, experience, education, skills, projects, and certifications. You can also import an existing resume — we'll extract the text and pre-fill the builder so you only need to review and polish.

Can I import an existing resume instead of typing it out?

Yes. Upload your existing resume (PDF) and we'll parse it into the resume builder so you can edit and save. After import, review every section carefully — parsing is not always perfect, and you may need to fix formatting or fill in gaps.

Does Mustakbil have AI to help with my resume?

Yes, optional AI-assisted features can help draft or improve sections of your resume, such as your summary. AI output is a starting point — please read it carefully, edit for accuracy, and make sure it reflects you. You remain responsible for what you publish.

Who can see my resume?

It depends on your resume privacy setting. You can make your resume searchable by registered employers, or restrict it so it is shared only when you apply to a specific job. You can change this any time from your account settings. When you apply, your resume is shared with that employer.

How do I apply for a job?

Open the job page and tap Apply. Your resume is submitted to the employer. Some jobs may also ask you to answer screening questions or complete an assessment before applying. You can track every application from "My Applications" in your account.

What are assessments and questionnaires?

Some employers ask candidates to answer screening questions or complete an assessment as part of applying. This helps employers understand your skills and experience for the specific role. Your answers are shared with the employer who set up that assessment.

How does interview scheduling work?

Employers may send you a self-scheduling link. Open it, pick a time that works for you in your local time zone, and the interview is booked automatically — no back-and-forth emails. You'll get a confirmation and a reminder.

How do I get notified about new jobs?

Turn on Job Alerts in your account. You'll get email notifications when new jobs match your preferences. You can unsubscribe any time from the link at the bottom of each alert, or from your account settings.

I applied but the employer never responded — what can I do?

Many employers receive a high volume of applications and cannot reply to everyone. Mustakbil does not control how an employer reviews or responds to applications. Keep applying, refine your resume, set up job alerts for new openings, and consider reaching out via the employer's own channels.

How do I create an employer account?

Click "For Employers", choose Register, and set up your organization profile. New employer accounts go through a quick review before jobs go live, to help keep the platform safe for jobseekers.

How do I post a job in Pakistan?

Sign in to your employer account, open Post a Job, fill in the role details, requirements, and any screening questions or assessment, then publish. We offer free and paid job-posting options — paid options include extra visibility and additional features.

Is there a fee to post a job?

We offer free job postings as well as paid job-posting packages with extra visibility, more applicant tools, and longer listing periods. Pricing is shown at checkout in your local currency and includes any applicable volume pricing or discounts.

Can AI help me write my job description?

Yes. When creating a job, you can use the AI-assisted job description tool. Provide the role title and a short brief, and the AI drafts a polished description for you to review and edit. You stay in control — please review the draft for accuracy before publishing.

Can AI screen my applicants?

Optional AI-assisted screening reads incoming resumes against your job requirements and helps surface stronger matches. The output is a recommendation, not a decision — a human on your hiring team is responsible for the final call. We recommend reviewing for fairness and bias.

Can I generate an assessment / questionnaire with AI?

Yes. Open the Assessments tool, choose AI Builder, and provide a few details about the role and what you want to evaluate. The AI drafts questions you can edit, reorder, or replace before publishing. You decide which questions to keep.

What is Smart Sourcing?

Smart Sourcing proactively finds candidates for you. AI matches your job against our resume database and surfaces the best-fit candidates in your Talent Hub, each with a match score. You can invite them to apply with one click — no contact details needed. Paid job ads include Smart Sourcing invites (100 with Boost 3, 300 with Boost 10, 500 with Boost 30).

Can I fine-tune what the AI screens applicants for?

Yes. Paid job ads include granular AI screening filters — set the degree level, years of experience, skills, locations, and salary signals that matter for the role. These criteria guide how applicants are ranked and scored; they don't auto-reject anyone unless you explicitly turn on strict screening. You can refine the criteria and re-evaluate applicants after posting.

How do I search the Pakistan resume database?

Purchase a Resume Search package, then use the search tool to filter candidates by skills, experience, education, location, and other criteria. You can view candidate profiles whose privacy settings allow employer search, and contact them through Mustakbil. Resume database use is for genuine recruitment only — see our Terms.

Can I connect my Google or Outlook calendar?

Yes. In Interview & Calendar Settings, connect Google Calendar or Microsoft/Outlook Calendar. Mustakbil can then check your availability, create interview events, and keep your calendar in sync. Calendar connection is optional and can be disconnected anytime from your settings.

How does candidate self-scheduling work?

Once your availability and booking rules are set, send a candidate a self-scheduling link from their applicant profile. They pick a slot in their own time zone and the interview is booked automatically — into your connected calendar if you have one. No back-and-forth emails.

Can interviews be scheduled automatically for qualified candidates?

Yes — with the interview-ready flow. Attach an assessment to your job, set an interview-ready score, and enable automatic self-scheduling. Candidates who clear AI screening and the assessment automatically receive a link to book an interview from your real availability — in person, by phone, or online with Google Meet, Zoom, or Teams links created for you. No interview is booked until the candidate confirms a slot.

What is the Follow-ups action center?

Follow-ups is a single inbox of every pending hiring action across your jobs — applicants waiting on review, interviews to confirm, assessments to check, and offers to send. It keeps your whole team on top of next steps so no candidate slips through the cracks. Find it in your employer dashboard under Follow-ups.

Can my team access the employer account?

Yes — most employer features support multiple team members for a single organization. You can invite teammates from your employer dashboard, and you can remove them when they should no longer have access. The account owner is responsible for managing team access.

How does billing work for paid packages?

Pricing, validity period, and included credits / seats are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by secure third-party payment providers. Volume pricing is available — for example, 3+ job ads 10% off, 5+ job ads 20% off. See our Terms of Service for the full billing terms.

Should I ever pay to apply for a job?

Never. No legitimate employer on Mustakbil will ask you to pay to apply, to be screened, to be interviewed, or to be hired. If anyone asks you for money in connection with a job — for training, processing, deposits, "refundable" fees, or anything similar — it is a scam. Report it to support@mustakbil.com.

How do I report a suspicious job?

Email support@mustakbil.com with the job link, the employer name, and a short description of what felt wrong. Forward any suspicious messages or screenshots if you have them. We act on reports quickly to protect the rest of the community.

How does Mustakbil protect my data?

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. Access is limited to people who need it to operate the Services. We do not sell personal information to data brokers. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

How is my Google data used if I sign in with Google?

Google data we receive is used only to operate the feature you requested (sign-in, or interview calendar scheduling if you're an employer connecting Google Calendar). We do not use Google API data for advertising, retargeting, AI model training, or data resale. See the Google API Data section of our Privacy Policy.

What if I see a discriminatory job posting?

We do not allow listings that unlawfully discriminate based on race, religion, caste, gender, age, disability, or other protected characteristics. If you see a posting that violates this, please email support@mustakbil.com with the link. See our Equal Employment Opportunity statement for more.
