We are committed to enhancing education and technical skills of the children from slums and deprived backgrounds by strengthening their intellectual capabilities and training them to competent, ethical and socially responsible citizens of Pakistan.

Our mission is to provide members of society across Pakistan with an opportunity to discover their inbuilt potential; enabling them to take up responsibilities and challenges in life; by establishing a quality oriented network of community based education and vocational training; along with the focus on teacher and employee training and development.

In 2007, Mrs.Ruba Humayun started a teaching centre in the slums of Gulberg III. As she met and observed children in the slums of Gulberg at the time of distribution of food and gifts among them, she realized that Education was the only solution. Most of them were begging or working and had never been to school.Patiently, lovingly and gently volunteers gained the children’s trust and attention, and Door of Awareness strted to flourish
