RESTAURANTS AND OTHER PROJECTS: The organization primarily operates eight different Salt’n Pepper Restaurants across Pakistan and one in the heart of Central London, each offering a unique dinning experience.

The organization, which has it’s headquarter in Lahore, prides itself on developing Pakistan’s first chain of restaurants the Salt’n Pepper Restaurants. THE GROUP’S CHRONOLOGY OF SUCCESS IS AS FOLLOWS

The first Salt’n Pepper Restaurant was established in 1983 by hotelier / restaurant entrepreneur Mr. Mahmood Akbar, considered by many as the pioneer hotelier and restaurateur in Pakistan.

MR. MAHMOOD AKBAR(CHIEF EXECUTIVE)

Mahmood Akbar received his associate degree in ‘Hotel Management’ from Miami in 1975 and a B.Sc. Degree in ‘Hotel and Restaurant Management’ from University of New Haven, Connecticut in 1977. His hotel and restaurant career includes a five-year period with the Hilton International Chain, where he served as ‘Food & Beverage Manager’.

For last thirty years, he has opened and successfully operated a number of restaurants in Pakistan and currently operates several successful Salt’n Pepper Restaurants, including the famous Salt’n Pepper Village Restaurants in Lahore and Karachi.

Mahmood Akbar’s passion for food and his desire for acquiring more knowledge about his beloved profession have never diminished. The lesson learned as a child from his mother and father about the freshness of ingredients have become a hallmark of his restaurants. Even in this modern day and age, all his food is purchased fresh every morning and consumed before close of day.

MRS. NINA AKBAR(DIRECTOR)

Mrs.Nina Akbar is a graduate from Karachi University. Since inception she has been closely associated in the development, expansion and management of Salt’n Pepper restaurants. She has over 20 years experience in the Hospitality Industry.
She is the Chief Executive of Sukh Cha’n Wellness Club (Pvt.) Limited, a project with new and modern concepts in Health Care & Fitness.

MRS. NADIA MOSKOP(DIRECTOR)

Mrs. Nadia Moskop is a Director of Foodconsults (Pvt.) Limited. She is a graduate in ‘Hotel Management’ from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. Recently, she has obtained a Master’s degree from the University of Arizona, U.S.A.

MR. SHAKEEL AHMAD(EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR)

Mr. Shakeel Ahmad, in 1984, after his degree in commerce, joined Salt’n Pepper Restaurants in the same year. He has over 31 years of valuable experience in designing, establishing and operating variety of Restaurants.
At present he is the Executive Director of Foodconsults (Pvt.) Ltd. and looks after the overall operations of all the restaurants in Lahore & Karachi.

MR. TAUSEEF A. BUTT(CORPORATE CHEF)

Mr. Tauseef A. Butt is currently the Corporate Chef & looks after Salt’n Pepper restaurants of Lahore and Karachi. He obtained Certificate in Food Preparation from National Tourism Human Resource (supported by European Commission).
He has rich global exposure in both kitchen and restaurant management.
