Anjuman Himayat-i-Islam

Anjuman Himayat-i-Islam, an oldest NGO of Asia was established in 24th September 1884. It was founded by five well known personalities (named below) of that time in Masjid (Mosque) named Bukan Khan, inside Mochi Gate, Lahore.

1. Qazi Khalifa Hameed-ud-Din
2. Molvi Ghulam ullah Qasori
3. Khan Najam-ud-Din Khan
4. Khan Bahadur Sheikh Kher Din
5. Khalifa Amad-ud-Din

Aims

It basic aims are given below:-

1. To Publish and patronize the scared religion of Islam.
2. To publish and protect the Islamic history and literature.
3. To make arrangements for providing Islamic and technical education to the boys and girls of Muslims community.
4. To provide boarding and lodging to destitute and impoverish orphans boys and girls of society and provide them education.
5. To motivate Muslims to follow Islamic teaching as well as acquire technical and scientific education with Islamic ethics, manners morality harmony and unionism and to familiar them business with benefits.
