Accountant (Remote)

Responsibilities

• Excellent Bookkeeping.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Preparation of UK VAT returns.
• Preparation of Annual accounts.
• Written & Spoken English Skills.
• Assisting senior and junior team members.
• Overseeing ongoing maintenance of accounts.
• Supporting management in the accurate production of budgets.
• Ensure cashflow is utilised properly and protect reserves.
• Audit financial information for inconsistencies.
• Providing tax planning strategies in accordance with existing legislation.
• Ensure the books of the company are kept updated on a routine basis.
• Draft letters, emails and other necessary documents for correspondence.
• Delivering monthly accounting responsibilities accurately and to agreed timelines.
• Maintaining financial records using various accounting software.
• Analysing financial data using different analysis tools and techniques.
• Preparing financial accounts preparation and preparing supporting working papers in excel.
• Year adjustment calculations such as accruals, prepayments, depreciation, deferred or accrued income etc.
• Preparation of corporate and income tax computations.

• Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills
• Understanding of accounting and financial processes
• Excellent English communication & presentational skills
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
• Advance knowledge of MS Excel
• Ethical and professional behaviour

Qualification

• B.Com/ BSc/ M.Com /MBA/ MSc in Finance/Accounting
• Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
• Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
• Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT)
• Experience in UK based firm is essential
