Systems / Network IT Consultant

Safebit Solutions Inc. a growing MSP provider is looking for our next System/Network IT Consultant to assist with our growing client needs. This person should be well-rounded technically and have excellent spoken and written communication skills. This position will primarily be conducted from within our north Houston office but occasional travel to client’s locations within the greater Houston will be required. This position will report directly to Sr. Consultant and the President/Owner.

Day-to-Day tasks will include

• Assist with Helpdesk ticket escalations from Level-1 helpdesk & change management requests

• Monitor clients’ Servers & Networking through MSP platform tools (N-Central/N-Able Platform/Network)

• Focused skill set in Networking with Cisco background.

• Manage multiple Microsoft Server environments with Active Directory/DNS/DHCP/Replication/File/GPO/Print

• Identify improvements for customers’ infrastructure and provide recommendations for upgrades

• Work with Sr Consultant on Project planning and implementation

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure migration, VMs, security, storage, etc...

Timings: 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM

• Valid Cisco CCNA (preferred)

• Well-rounded, multi-vendor technical skillset with emphasis on Microsoft, Dell SonicWall, and Cisco technologies

• Consulting mindset with excellent verbal and written communication, must have the ability to discuss technical topics with customers in a non-technical manner

• 3-4-years of on-job experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments managed with Active Directory

• 3 years of network experience working with Networking in, Switches/Gateways/UTM Firewalls. Must be able to configure VLANS and routing in Cisco Hardware.
