Job Description
- Acquire a thorough knowledge of the subject.
- Enhance the capability of using teaching methods to suit the particular subject by learning them and practicing them in the classroom, through research and peer observation.
- Secure resource material such as text books, magazines, paper cuttings, CDs, downloads from the Internet and other material related to the subject.
- Maintain a collection of teaching aids to be used at the classroom when necessary.
- Keep a collection of question papers made by the teacher as well as past papers of a number of past examinations.
- Use the best possible method to suit each lesson and the age level of the students. Conduct research on the learning theories and use them as teaching methods.
- Conduct lessons according to a preplanned strategy.
- Check the availability of teaching equipment and make best use of them. Manage time properly
- Develop a good teaching style.
- Conduct assessment procedures – continuous and monthly/annually to assess how successful his/her lessons were.
- Coordinate with parents to ensure that the students’ home work is monitored.
- Assist the school management in both academic and administrative activities when called for.
