Specifically for the area of arts and craft For activity based learning and learning through hands on work by students. (not lecturing) A facilitator is a role model . If you are interested and enthusiastic , then students would be interested and enthusiastic. If you are dull and irritated, then students would be dull and not interested.

- Designing activities - Planning activities - Conducting/testing activities - Facilitating the students in conducting the activities - Learning what works and what does not and sharing it with others. - Writing observations about childrens behavior, changes, lack or sudden jump in interest. - Continuous personal development - Continuous reading, researching and sharing of educational philosophy and learning theories. - Sympathetic listening to students requests and observation of their behavior and connecting it with the educational theories and challenges. - Cool temperament in the face of provocation. No verbal or physical abuse or punishments.
