Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide office support services in order to ensure efficiency and effectiveness within the Office
Main Activities
Receive, direct and relay telephone messages and fax messages
Direct the general public to the appropriate staff member
Maintain the general filing system and file all correspondence
Assist in the planning and preparation of meetings, conferences and conference
telephone calls
Make preparations for committee meetings
Maintain an adequate inventory of office supplies
Provide word-processing and secretarial support
Type confidential documents on a word processing system
2. Provide support to the Director and Administrator

Assist the Director and Administrator as requested
3. Perform other related duties as required
Requirements & Skills
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and telephone protocol. Computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type 60 wpm. Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information. This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of an Associates Degree and three to five years of secretarial experience.
3. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
