Job Description
- Learn locations of HVAC equipment and how they relate to each building.
- Maintain and repair all HVAC equipment and components.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R equipment.
- Maintain all related recommendations, i.e. valves, motors, belts, bearings, filters, and lubrication etc.
- Learn basics of equipment management controls, to be able to start, stop, seek status or change conditions on HVAC systems.
- Must know how to prepare Chillers and Cooling Towers and their inspection, including any refractory work, cleaning and installing new seals.
- Run Cooling Towers and Chiller plants to maintain system temperatures and equipment runtimes.
- Train other HVAC Technicians and staff in preventative maintenance & repair
- Set equipment trends to monitor energy consumption.
- Works with outside vendors, engineers and consultants on personal basis.
- Perform day-to-day operations of the HVAC
Requirements & Skills
- Working knowledge of cooling towers and chiller systems.
- Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
- Written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
