Telecoms Devops Engineer SD WAN

We are looking for an experienced Network Test Automation Engineer to work as part of our NetDevOps Innovation team, with a focus on SDN Test Automation. The candidate will need to have a good understanding of test practices, be able to identify test requirements for Network Function features and write test cases and automation scripts to satisfy them. They will also need to have hands on experience building Test Labs and good knowledge of network programmability automation. Experience in DevOps tools is also desirable.

Qualifications and Experience

• CCNP/CCIE/JNCIE, or other relevant Industry Network Certifications
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Networking Technologies and Automated system test
• Minimum years of experience of Unit and System test techniques using Java, Python, Robot, Selenium, Jenkins or similar technologies.

• Network Technologies Testing Experience including Cisco, Juniper and other (SDWAN Technologies, IWAN, Cisco Viptela, Juniper Contrail, VmWare Contrail)
• Strong understanding of good test practice and methodologies (AGILE)
• Experience of writing test plans and test cases together with test scripting
• Experience in SDN/NFV technologies, including ODL, ONAP, OSM, KVM, NETCONF/YANG, OpenFlow, Open vSwitch and related technologies.
• Hands on experience in network programming and engineering network automation (including but not limited to: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt Stack, Django platforms)
• Automation Framework Experience (Robot test case)
• Familiarity with tools including Git, Java, Python, Jenkins, Selenium, Test Rail, Report Portal, SonarQube, Maven, Nexus and the Atlassian tool suite.
• Experience of microservice/container architectures such as Docker with Kubernetes
• REST APIs
• Open Source software tools, libraries and development processes.
• Experience of installation, configuration and test of network devices from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, VeloCloud and similar.
• Engineering experience installing, using and maintaining test tools in the telecommunications and IT domains.
• MEF Lifecycle Services Orchestration (LSO) specifications, APIs and data models.
• Network management technologies including EMS, NMS and OSS/BSS systems in general.
