Illustrator

We are looking for talented Illustrators and/or Sketch Artists to create original pieces of artwork for print publications. For this role, you will collaborate with curriculum writers, proofreaders, and graphic designers to complete requested illustrations. If you can use your creative skills to turn basic instructions and ideas into appealing illustrations, we would like to meet you. Ultimately, you will create illustrations that meet quality standards under set deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare illustrations according to requirements
• Use computer software to create artwork in vector and digital paint style
• Integrate and develop visual elements, such as line, space, mass, color, and perspective, in order to produce desired effects
• Communicate with Art & Design team members, proofreaders, and curriculum writers to ensure the creation of quality content
• Ensure that printed illustrations meet quality and color standards
• Brainstorm with other Art & Design team members to come up with new ideas, patterns and styles

• Demonstrable portfolio of completed illustrations and/or sketches
• Solid knowledge of image editing and digital sketching software, like Photoshop, or Adobe Illustrator
• Drawing skills with an attention to detail (both by hand and digital pen)
• Strong aesthetic and conceptual skills
• Exceptional creativity and innovation
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
