Job Description

To undertake the day to day supervision of the stores service and staff to deliver a customer focused service in accordance with agreed procedures

Ensure the integrity of the stores area is maintained at all times

To ensure arrangements for delivery or collection of materials at the agreed time.

To ensure accurate accountability of all transactions to and from the stores

To raise purchase orders for materials in line with procedures, standing orders and financial regulations.

To facilitate periodic checks of the quantities of materials held in stock, including imprest stocks held in vans in accordance with standing orders.

Ensure the stores area is kept clean and tidy and free from hazards

Requirements & Skills

Management of the stores personnel

Administrative experience in a builders stores environment or similar

Experience of working alone and flexibly as part of a team

Organizational and planning skills and ability to priorities workloads

Ability to multi task

Communications skills both verbally and in writing

Ability to drive and qualified for appropriate fork lift truck (concertina) and other appropriate stores machinery

Ability to provide double glazing of units and key cutting service
