Job Description
- Finance
- Function as the finance officer for clients of the firm in the GCC
- Ensure compliance with the applicable regulatory rules for the clients in your portfolio
- Monitor the financial affairs of the clients in your portfolio including management of working capital and availability of funds / liquid assets for payments of liabilities when they fall due
- Development policies and procedures appropriate for the nature and complexity of the client and facilitation in their implementation
- Monthly review of clients’ entire book keeping including journal entries and payroll schedules
- Prepare management accounts ensuring they comply with the professional standards for reporting to the management and the board of the respective client
- Review of budgets and analysis of comparative performance (actual vs budgeted amounts) and highlight findings or significant areas in the financial reports to the management team
- Liaison with the External Auditors on behalf of clients in your portfolio for the Financial Statement Audits and their submission to the relevant regulatory bodies (where required)
- Internal Audit
- Assist in developing the internal audit practice for the firm servicing the clients based in the Gulf Cooperation Council and Pakistan
- Planning and performing operational and financial internal audits of the clients
- Identifying business process risks
- Developing testing methodologies to evaluate the adequacy of controls
- Documenting the results of the evaluations
- Developing recommendations and reports based on audits and presenting these ideas to senior management
Requirements & Skills
- Direct and relevant experience in regulatory reporting with authorities such as the State Bank of Pakistan, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Dubai Financial Services Authority, Abu Dhabi Global Market, Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority of the UK.
- A minimum of 5 years of audit, finance and accounting experience with at least 2 years of mid-level management experience (preferably) within the financial services industry.
