PHP Backend Developer

The PHP Backend Developer will be responsible for developing website backends in PHP and PHP-based CMS systems, such as Wordpress and Drupal. The ideal candidate will be able to integrate designs into existing CMS systems (such as Wordpress) and must demonstrate excellent command over HTML and CSS; JavaScript/AJAX knowledge is highly desirable. As part of the engineering team, the PHP Developer will be working to build websites and web applications that support our core business.

Responsibilities and Duties·
Integrate designs into Wordpress/Drupal
Write plugins/code from scratch or by extending existing packages to meet business requirements
Test the website and identify and provide solutions to any technical problems
Fix bugs and issues
Ensure compatibility with the PHP programming best practices
Work in close liaison with design and usability team

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and PHP is a must
Knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery highly preferred
Knowledge of design/theme integration into Wordpress
Knowledge of Dotnet will be an added advantage
Ability to adapt and pick up new techniques and technology
Proven track record of working on Web projects
