What you'll be doing

Responsibilities;

  • Manage the end-to-end import process for goods and materials.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and custom requirements.
  • Oversee import documentation and ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Work with customs brokers to facilitate the clearance of goods.
  • Monitor shipments and track import timelines to prevent delays.
  • Draft, compose, and process shipment documents which include bills of lading, invoices, and the customs declaration.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers to optimize costs.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate transportation and storage.
  • Additionally, it’s important to maintain records of import activities and prepare reports for management, Stay updated on changes in import regulations and tariffs.
  • Resolve any issues related to shipping or customs promptly.
  • Draft, compose, and process shipment documents which include bills of lading, invoices, and the customs declaration.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional team members to ensure all logistics activities are carried out as planned.
  • Follow up and supervise shipments to guarantee on-time delivery and to solve any issues or delays.
  • Keep proper records of transactions and shipments for regulatory and auditing purposes.
  • Keep yourself informed about international trade laws and tariffs to ensure compliance and optimize operations.
  • Talk to clients to update them on the shipment status and solve their questions.
  • Provide support in developing import strategies to improve efficiency.
