What you'll be doing

Farah Arsalan Makeup Studio and Salon, a cosmetics and beauty services studio located in Rawalpindi, seeks a Saloon Helper (Fresher/Mid Level) to support daily salon operations and ensure a smooth, professional guest experience. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic candidate beginning a career in hair and beauty services or with some prior hands-on salon exposure. The Saloon Helper will work closely with senior hairstylists and all-rounders to prepare the salon for appointments, maintain hygiene standards, and assist with basic client care.

Key responsibilities include:

Greet clients, escort them to service stations, and help them feel comfortable before appointments.
Prepare and sterilize tools, equipment, and workstations following salon hygiene protocols.
Wash, shampoo, and condition clients’ hair under direction of senior stylists; assist with blow-drying and basic styling.
Keep treatment areas stocked with supplies (towels, capes, shampoos, disposables) and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed.
Maintain salon cleanliness: sweeping hair, disposing of waste, laundering towels, and sanitizing surfaces.
Support styling services by handing tools and products to stylists and assisting during color, perm, or treatment processes as directed.
Manage simple front-desk tasks when required: booking follow-up appointments, answering client queries politely, and coordinating with team members for smooth service flow.
Follow salon policies on client confidentiality, safety, and product usage; participate in on-the-job training and skill-development activities.

What we're looking for

Basic knowledge of salon hygiene and safety practices, including tool sterilization and waste disposal.
Hands-on ability to shampoo, condition, and assist with basic drying/styling techniques.
Good communication and customer service skills; polite, friendly, and attentive to client needs.
Ability to follow instructions from senior hairstylists and assist efficiently during services.
Physical stamina for standing, moving between stations, and handling towels/equipment throughout the shift.
Organizational skills to maintain stocked workstations and manage simple front-desk tasks when required.
Teamwork and a willingness to learn new techniques and product knowledge from senior staff.
Basic literacy for appointment notes and simple inventory tracking.
