What you'll be doing

Position: Factory Manager
Reports to: CEO
Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Overview:

The Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the factory, ensuring efficiency and productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards. This role involves managing resources, optimizing production processes, and leading a team to meet the company’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the entire factory operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.

Develop and implement production plans to meet business objectives and customer demands.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Manage the factory budget, optimize costs, and ensure efficient use of resources.

Lead, train, and motivate factory staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Monitor production KPIs and implement strategies for improvement.

Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure material availability.

Drive process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Strong knowledge of production management, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with ERP software (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

Knowledge of ISO standards and safety regulations.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience managing factory operations in plastic products manufacturing or related FMCG production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling and shop-floor control techniques.
  • Competence in quality assurance methods, process control and basic statistical tools (e.g., SPC).
  • Experience with SOP development, GMP, safety protocols and environmental compliance.
  • Staff management skills including training, rostering, performance management and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, materials handling and vendor coordination.
  • Practical troubleshooting skills for common manufacturing and equipment issues; ability to liaise with maintenance teams.
  • Analytical ability to monitor KPIs, prepare production reports and implement continuous improvement (Lean, 5S or similar).
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with marketing, procurement and external partners; proficiency in Urdu and English preferred.
