Overview

We are a UK-based mobile app studio seeking a visual storyteller to create cute, character-driven illustrations for our TikTok and Instagram channels. You’ll turn our app’s characters and world into daily, scroll-stopping posts that feel warm, playful, and emotionally engaging.

Key Responsibilities

Create at least 3 high-quality visual posts per day (static images, simple sequences, or short loop ideas) for TikTok and Instagram.
Illustrate cute, expressive characters and cozy scenes in a bright, minimal, vector-style suitable for young children and parents.
Translate simple briefs into polished visuals and also proactively pitch ideas based on trends, seasons, and campaigns.
Adapt designs into multiple formats (feed posts, stories, Reels covers, thumbnails) while keeping a consistent look and feel.
Maintain and evolve a simple style guide (colors, shapes, characters, backgrounds) so all posts feel part of the same world.
Work closely with the founder/marketing team to align visuals with messaging, product features, and upcoming launches.
Organise and deliver files ready for social media (correct sizes, export settings, and naming).

Strong portfolio showing cute, simple, character-based illustrations similar in feel to Finch-style artwork.
Excellent sense of color, composition, and visual storytelling in a small canvas.
Proficiency in illustration tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, Photoshop, or similar.
Comfortable working at high speed with consistent quality and iterating quickly based on feedback.
Good understanding of TikTok and Instagram formats and what makes content feel engaging and shareable.
Clear communication in English and openness to collaborative review and direction.
Bonus: experience with children’s products, mobile games/apps, or light motion/animation (e.g., basic frame-by-frame or simple GIFs).
