Job Description
Accounts Officer
Responsible for maintaining ledgers, posting journal entries, preparing payments, bank reconciliations, and assisting in financial reporting. Minimum 2 years’ accounting experience required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file withholding tax challans for due payments.
- Maintain and update tax ledgers regularly.
- Prepare and monitor tax ageing reports.
- Carry out monthly sales tax workings, including Annex C and purchases.
- Support compliance with local taxation laws and regulations.
- Liaise with suppliers/customers on tax-related payment matters.
- Assist in audits and respond to tax authorities as required.
Requirements & Skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 2 years of taxation or compliance experience.
- Solid knowledge of withholding tax, sales tax, and statutory compliance.
- Familiarity with ERP/accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
