General Helper (Cleaning & Kitchen Support) 3

Job Summary:

We are seeking a hardworking and dependable General Helper to assist with both cleaning tasks and kitchen support. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient environment in our facility. The ideal candidate will be proactive, willing to learn, and capable of handling a mix of responsibilities in both housekeeping and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning Duties:

Clean and sanitize floors, restrooms, dining areas, and workspaces

Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly

Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper

Dust surfaces and clean windows, doors, and equipment as needed

Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisor

Kitchen / Cook Helper Duties:

Assist with basic food preparation (washing, peeling, cutting ingredients)

Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and food storage areas

Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment

Organize and store ingredients and supplies properly

Support the cook or chef during busy meal periods

Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations

Work Environment:

May involve standing for extended periods

Work in both indoor and kitchen environments

Requires use of cleaning chemicals and kitchen tools (training provided)

Requirements:

Prior experience in cleaning or kitchen work is a plus (but not required)

Willingness to perform a variety of tasks as needed

Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and carry items

Strong attention to detail and cleanliness

Ability to work independently and in a team
