Digito Systems and Designs is an electrical engineering design company serving Australian utility clients. We specialize in underground and overhead power distribution designs compliant with VESI and AS/NZS standards. Our work spans residential developments, road lighting, and utility infrastructure.
About the Internship Program
We’re offering a structured 6-week internship program tailored for final-year students or recent graduates in electrical engineering. This is a training-to-hire opportunity: successful candidates will be considered for a full-time role.
What You’ll Learn
AutoCAD Drafting
- Use of 75+ industry-relevant commands
- Layers, blocks, xrefs, attributes, and drawing standards
Civil-Electrical Integration
- Read and utilize civil plans in electrical design
- Trench alignment, pit locations, and jointing assessments
Underground Electrical Design (VESI Standards)
- Voltage drop, fault level, load, and cable pulling calculations
- Neutral screen testing and trench design coordination
Lighting Design (AS Standards)
- Lux level calculations, spacing tables, lux plots
- Layouts for roadway and public area lighting
Professional Communication
- Verbal communication for Australian engineering teams
- Email writing for technical coordination and reporting

Top performers will be offered a full-time position as an Electrical Underground and Overhead Designer
Full-Time Role – Overview
As a full-time designer, you'll:
- Work on real Australian utility projects
- Draft and design electrical distribution systems using AutoCAD
- Perform load calculations, fault level analysis, and lighting layouts
- Coordinate with project managers and civil teams
- Deliver designs compliant with Australian standards

Who Should Apply
