Job Description
Primary role of this position is to quantify the building and civil work costs from initial calculations to final figure. The position shall responsible to assist in managing pre-qualification evaluation, bills of quantity (BoQs), variations to work orders, preparation of measurement books and tender documents.
The Quantity Surveyor shall undertake the following job duties:
- Monitor all contract deadlines and conditions to ensure timelines are kept and all relevant payments or information have been met.
- Assist in contract administration; and ensures compliance of construction activities comply with specification, contractual terms and conditions.
- Assist in compilation and preparation bid documents and bidders list, including inquiry preparations, request for bids, tender estimate and recommendations for award of contract.
- Checking tender document prepared by QS Consultancy.
- Create liaison with contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, project/construction managers and engineers to ensure goods, services and projects are delivered in line with agreed terms and conditions.
- Measuring and valuing the work done on site with QS consultant and contractor.
- Prepare monthly payment certificate for approval.
- Access variation order submitted by contractor and prepare Variation Approval Forms to obtain Management approval.
- Final Account Preparation.
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks, assignments & related duties when required.
