Mechanical Draftsman

Looking for a Mechanical Draftsman with 20 years of experience, specialized in plumbing, HVAC, fire fighting, and other mechanical engineering works in a semi government organization

**Prepare Detailed Drawings:** Develop and revise precise mechanical drawings and layouts for plumbing, HVAC, fire fighting, and other mechanical systems using AutoCAD and BIM software, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.

**Review and Coordinate Designs:** Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other disciplines to coordinate design intent, resolve technical issues, and integrate mechanical services within overall building layouts.

**Site Coordination:** Conduct site visits to verify dimensions, assess installation feasibility, and resolve discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.

**As-Built Documentation:** Prepare and update as-built drawings reflecting actual site installations and modifications for project handover and future maintenance.

**Material Take-Offs:** Generate accurate material take-offs and quantity estimations from drawings for procurement and cost control.

**Quality Assurance:** Ensure all drawings adhere to relevant codes (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, local standards) and company quality procedures.

**Shop Drawing Preparation:** Produce detailed shop drawings for fabrication and installation, including sections, details, and schematics for mechanical systems.

**Technical Support:** Provide technical drafting support to project managers, engineers, and site teams throughout all project phases.

**Documentation Management:** Organize and maintain drawing records, revisions, and documentation in accordance with project and company protocols.

**Mentorship:** Guide and mentor junior draftsmen, providing training and reviewing their work for accuracy and compliance.

Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, and other CAD software

Expertise in 2D and 3D mechanical drafting and modeling

Strong knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and fire fighting system design

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints

Familiarity with building codes, standards (IEC, BS), and regulations

Skilled in creating detailed piping layouts, ducting, and equipment drawings

Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and materials
