Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Web Developer with solid experience in PHP, JavaScript, and other web technologies to support our team in developing and optimizing modern websites. A key part of this role is the ability to implement WCAG-compliant accessibility improvements on WordPress websites.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Implement accessibility improvements according to WCAG 2.1 guidelines
- Work closely with designers and SEO experts to ensure a high-quality user experience
- Debug and optimize code for performance, accessibility, and SEO
- Collaborate with the team to deliver high-standard, scalable, and inclusive web solutions
Your Profile:
- Solid experience in PHP and JavaScript (Vanilla and/or frameworks)
- In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles
- Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development
- Understanding of WCAG standards and hands-on experience implementing accessibility features
- Familiarity with tools like Lighthouse, Axe, or WAVE is a plus
- Independent, detail-oriented, and quality-conscious work style

- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Ability to debug complex issues and implement reliable fixes
- Experience developing custom features beyond plugins or page builders
- Understanding of accessibility testing tools and screen reader behavior

Requirements & Skills
- Strong proficiency in PHP
- Solid experience with JavaScript (Vanilla or frameworks like React or Vue)
- Deep understanding of HTML and CSS, including semantic markup
- Knowledge of responsive and mobile-first design principles
- Experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Ability to implement accessibility improvements according to WCAG 2.1 and 2.2
- Familiarity with ARIA roles, semantic HTML, and screen reader compatibility
- Hands-on experience writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results
- Familiarity with Elementor and ability to improve or rebuild parts of Elementor-based sites if needed
