Geophysics Expert (Mining Operations)

Asgard Minerals Processing Ltd, a fast-growing mining and mineral processing company based in Abuja, Nigeria, is seeking an experienced Geophysics Expert to join our dynamic team in Lahore. We specialize in cutting-edge mineral exploration and extraction and are expanding our operations in the accounting industry.

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will lead geophysical surveys using advanced technologies such as the SuperSting R8 IP Resistivity System and other geophysical methods to create detailed 2D/3D subsurface images and provide analytical insights critical to our mining operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct IP (Induced Polarization) and Resistivity Surveys using the SuperSting R8 system.
• Conduct other geophysic tests on site
• Design, execute, and interpret geophysical surveys and models, producing 2D and 3D subsurface images.
• Analyze geophysical data to identify mineralization targets and provide recommendations for exploration drilling.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and analysis for management and technical teams.
• Collaborate with geologists, mining engineers, and external consultants to integrate geophysical data into mining exploration models.
• Ensure maintenance, calibration, and optimal usage of geophysical equipment.
• Train and mentor local field staff in basic geophysical survey techniques.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Geophysics, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
• Graduates from GIKI, UET Lahore/Peshawar, or NUST Islamabad/Rawalpindi are highly preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience conducting geophysical surveys, with proven hands-on expertise in IP Resistivity and related methods.
• Strong operational knowledge of SuperSting R8 equipment and software.
• Experience in 3D geophysical modeling, inversion software, and interpretation.
• Good technical report writing and communication skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Abuja, Nigeria with periodic fieldwork in remote locations.
