Waste Water Treatment Engineer

You will be responsible for overseeing the preventive maintenance and optimization of wastewater treatment plants. This role ensures compliance with NSF/ANSI, AWWA, ASTM, NFPA, UL, IEEE, NEMA, OSHA, and SHEM standards, as well as manufacturer guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct annual maintenance of two wastewater treatment plants, including flow control, blower maintenance, air diffuser adjustments, activated sludge aeration, clarifier cleaning, weir cleaning, air-lift pump operations, filtration, disinfection control, and effluent testing.

Analyze monthly test results from facility staff and provide recommendations within 24 hours to maintain effective wastewater treatment.

Ensure all equipment and chemicals meet manufacturer specifications and provide MSDS sheets in English and Urdu.

Perform technical analysis and adjust plant operations to meet discharge standards.

Collaborate with the facility manager to review plant conditions and provide written service reports within 10 business days.

Adhere to safety protocols, including OSHA and SHEM requirements, and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations and maintenance.

Certification in wastewater treatment (e.g., AWWA or equivalent).

Proficiency in English and Urdu.

Familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles and relevant standards (NSF/ANSI, AWWA, ASTM, etc.).

Valid occupational health and safety training certification.
