Trucking Dispatch Executive 2

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Truck Dispatch Executive with 3 to 5 years of experience managing logistics and dispatch operations in North America.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of freight, optimizing routes, and ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. The Truck Dispatch Executive will act as a liaison between drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily dispatch activities, including scheduling drivers, assigning loads, and optimizing delivery routes.
• Monitor driver progress, ensuring on-time pickups and deliveries while addressing any issues that arise.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve operational challenges.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, driver logs, and delivery statuses using transportation management software.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and safety standards.
• Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the operations team to manage capacity, reduce costs, and improve overall fleet productivity.

Necessary Skills:

Logistics and Transportation Knowledge : Strong understanding of trucking operations, freight management, and North American transportation regulations.

Dispatch Software Proficiency : Experience using transportation management systems (TMS) and GPS tracking tools.

Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact with drivers, customers, and team members.

Problem-Solving Abilities : Ability to quickly resolve issues such as route delays, equipment breakdowns, or customer concerns.

Time Management : Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to Detail : Keen focus on accuracy when managing schedules, documentation, and compliance requirements.

Customer Service Orientation : Proactive approach to addressing client needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.

Regulatory Compliance : Familiarity with DOT, HOS, and other relevant regulations to ensure safe and legal operations.

Negotiation Skills : Ability to negotiate rates with carriers and brokers while maintaining profitability.
