Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Shift Supervision:
Supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, to ensure efficient workflow.
Allocate tasks and manage shift schedules.
Address and resolve operational issues during the shift.
Customer Service:
Provide professional guidance to customers on prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
Handle customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
Operations Management:
Oversee accurate dispensing of medications in compliance with prescriptions and regulations.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring stock rotation and expiration tracking.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for medication storage and labeling.
Purchasing Responsibilities:
Identify and assess pharmacy stock requirements based on sales trends, inventory levels, and upcoming needs.
Source and purchase pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and equipment from approved vendors.
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Place purchase orders and track delivery timelines to prevent stock shortages.
Regularly evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability.
Inventory Monitoring:
Monitor and manage stock levels to avoid overstocking or shortages.
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Implement measures to reduce wastage and expired stock.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure all pharmacy operations and purchases comply with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Maintain accurate records of purchased items, invoices, and inventory transactions.
Submit daily shift and purchasing reports to the Pharmacy Manager.
Experience:
5–7 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Experience in procurement or inventory management is a plus.
