Fahim, Nanji & Desouza (Pvt.) Ltd. is a Karachi based firm of consulting engineers, specializing in Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing (MEP) Building Services with nationwide projects to its credit.

FND (Pvt.) Ltd. is looking to hire a Electrical Design Engineer/ Trainee Engineer for their projects. Candidates having 0-2 years of relevant experience and having good oral & communication skills are encouraged to apply.

About the Role:

As a Trainee/Design Engineer in the Electrical Department, you will work under the guidance of senior engineers to design, develop, and optimize electrical systems for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) building services projects. This role is ideal for recent graduates with a passion for engineering and a willingness to learn in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and drafting of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and other building services.
• Use CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit to create detailed layouts and schematics.
• Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and circuit designs.
• Collaborate with the mechanical and plumbing teams to ensure design integration and compliance with project specifications.
• Support the preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Conduct site visits to monitor the implementation of designs and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to electrical installations.
• Stay updated with industry standards, codes, and best practices in electrical engineering for MEP projects.
• Attend training sessions and workshops to develop technical skills and industry knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering with a CGPA of atleast 3.5
• Previous experience as a Design Engineer or a similar role if applicable
• Familiarity using CAD software; knowledge of Dialux and Simaris Design is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Great computational and spatial ability
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Attention to detail

The candidate should have atleast the following:

1. 3.5 CGPA
2. Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
