Job description

The dual skills of Expediting and Quality Control are required for this position

As a member of the Supply Chain team on business, the Project Expeditor / Quality Controller is in charge of ensuring that suppliers comply with all contractual milestones of orders negotiated by our purchasing department

You are responsible for coordinating all actions relating to equipment inspection and quality control between Suppliers, Engineering and Purchasing to ensure that the equipment, materials, services and services ordered are delivered in accordance with the specifications of the case.

The equipment concerned is in particular:

1. Electromechanical equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.)

2. Instrumentation,

3. Taps, piping and accessories, metal boilermaking

4. Electrical equipment


Your missions on " Expediting":

Monitoring the Order from the manufacturer to delivery

  • Follow up the production, Manufacturing and to analysis the Weekly & Monthly Progress report
  • Keep the project manager informed of any event that may result in late delivery and prepare a recovery plan.
  • Push suppliers to improve delivery dates
  • Monitoring of deliverables in accordance with contract requirements
  • Keep Update the tools
  • To validate the quality documents (ITP, Quality procedures, WPS, PQR, MTC…)
  • Establishment of Shipment and Expediting follow up database
  • To organize the kick off meetings (KOM) with the Buyer and supplier
  • To follow up and to perform the expediting and inspection visit at Supplier premises ( or
  • To provide inspection report and follow up the punch list
  • To identify of potential risks and opportunities
  • Interface with technical & Engineer department, shipping department
  • Perform regular reporting of the suppliers manufacturing progress to Project department
  • Ensure control of the contractual deadlines associated with the equipment ordered.
  • Review the contract (Standards, technical specificity, etc.)
  • Make a complete documentary review (that of the supplier and that of the main contract)
  • Make a progress report on the contractual schedule, follow the detailed progress of manufacturing, update the schedule according to the findings
  • Make a progress report on the supplier's sub-orders
  • Review the packaging and shipping instructions,
  • Manage various problems, analyze any delays,
  • Remind suppliers of the deadline objectives to be achieved
  • Inform the management of the case (Project Purchasing Manager (PPM) and the Project Manager (PM)) of any delays highlighted
  • Develop indicators on supplier deadlines and/or corrective/preventive actions, definition of priorities and suggestions to reduce deadlines
  • Fill in supplier statistics mainly for KPIs on supplier deadlines monitored in coordination Expediting Deliverables:



Your missions in "Inspection and Quality Control":

• Ensure the review and validation of suppliers' quality control documents : quality control plan, test procedures, certificate of conformity, Manufacturings planning, .

• Coordinate other quality inspectors who may intervene on the matter and ensure that complete and up-to-date documentation is available to them for the inspection of equipment, materials and services

Requirements & Skills

Your profile:

Holder of a Master in Quality required or Mecanical Engeener

You have a first successful experience of at least 1 to 3 years on a similar position.

You are a team player and you are willing to commit to achieving the project's objectives.

You are responsive, rigorous, organized, and have good writing and interpersonal skills.

You are proficient in Excel and Powerpoint,

Fluency in English is imperative.

Experience in the Environment, Energy, Water Treatment or Waste sectors is desired.
