Network Engineer

• • Head all essential functions pertinent to network security to ensure complete protection of data, hardware, software and all other related solutions.
• • Research and identify solutions to network systems issues.
• • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including initial set up and network configuration.
• • Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
• • Assist clients on technical issue resolution through instructions via telephone, chat, emails and similar.
• • Properly direct unresolved issues to appropriate departments.
• • Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
• • Ensure all issues are properly logged.
• • Prioritize and manage several open issues at a given time.
• • Coordinate with clients to ensure their IT network systems are fully functional after troubleshooting.
• • Prepare accurate and timely reports.
• • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals.
• • Maintain strategic relationships with vendors and clients.

• Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF and BGP.
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
• Monitor performance and ensure network system availability and reliability.
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG and Cacti)
