Role Summary
The Finance and Accounting Intern (FAI) is part of Finance Function that works closely with the Managing Partners, tax advisors, consultants, external auditors, and other authorities. This department serves as the competency center for the company on all financial matters pertaining to Enabling Qapital (EQ) and its subsidiaries. The FAI will work closely with the FAO and assist in bookkeeping and monthly closing activities of Enabling Qapital (EQ).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in monthly bookkeeping
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Ensure correct expense categorization according to company policies
- Monthly follow-up with staff to timely file expense reports
- Assist in the monthly closing activities
- Any other Ad-hoc operational tasks assigned

Please note that this is a Finance and Accounting Intern (FAI) position, leading to a full-time position of Finance and Accounting Associate (FAA) upon successful completion of internship (3 months) based on satisfactory performance.
Who you are
The FAI must possess a thorough understanding of accounting principles, (GAAP and IFRS) and internal controls, and have prior bookkeeping experience using cloud-based accounting software (Zoho/QuickBooks).
We are looking for someone who plans to pursue a career in Finance and grow in the role at EQ.
Requirements & Skills
Key attributes and skills:
- Bachelor of Accounting/Finance and/or a qualified (part-qualified) ACCA/CIMA
- Prior work experience in a similar role
- Demonstrable knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS
- Expertise in MS Excel (VBA, xlookup, Index Match, Pivot Tables)
- A motivated individual with a growth mindset
- High affinity for numbers
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within team and other departments
- Precise and organized work style
- Good analytical and communication skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality work
Whom you will work with
You will work directly with the Finance and Accounts Officer (FAO) and the Finance Manager (FM) at EQ.
