Freight Forwarding Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the freight forwarding department, including import and export processes.
Coordinate with carriers, shipping lines, and other logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Monitor and manage the performance of freight forwarding operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, customs requirements, and industry standards.
Manage relationships with clients, addressing their needs and resolving any issues that arise.
Prepare and manage departmental budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
Lead and mentor a team of freight forwarding professionals, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Utilize logistics software and systems to streamline operations and improve data accuracy.
Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and service providers to secure the best terms for the company.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities for team members.

Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in international freight forwarding operations.
In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and freight forwarding practices.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
