Job Description
The duties & responsibilities include but not limited to;
- Perform basic ICD-9 and CPT/HCPCS coding for assigned practices.
- Should be able to abstract clinical information from encounters/progress notes, diagnostic reports, other relevant documents and assigns appropriate ICD-10 and CPTs.
- Know several different coding systems including Level 1 CPT codes, level 2 HCPCS and ICD 10 CM and modifier usage.
- Any other work assigned by the manager.
Requirements & Skills
- Science background with a minimum of 4 years Bachelor’s degree in medical science or related field (Pham-D, MBBS, BS Bioinformatics/Bio-sciences/Health Sciences/Animal Sciences).
- Polished, professional, and positive attitude.
- Should have good communication skills in oral and writing.
- Relies on limited resources to plan and accomplish goals.
