Overview:

The School Administration Assistant (Remote) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of administrative functions within the American Islamic School. This position requires a highly hardworking candidate who is dedicated to the task provided on a day-to-day basis and requires a blend of organizational skills, interpersonal abilities, and a deep understanding of Islamic educational principles. The Administration Assistant serves as a liaison between various stakeholders including students, parents, faculty, and management, fostering a supportive and productive environment conducive to academic excellence and Islamic values.

Responsibilities:

Administrative Oversight:

  • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks including correspondence, scheduling, and record-keeping.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and school policies.
  • Oversee the maintenance of student records and databases.

Student Affairs:

  • Coordinate student admissions, enrollment, and withdrawal processes.
  • Serve as a point of contact for student inquiries, concerns, and disciplinary matters.
  • Collaborate with teachers to support student well-being and academic progress.

Parent Communication:

  • Facilitate effective communication with parents regarding school events, policies, and student progress.
  • Respond promptly to parent inquiries and concerns, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
  • Organize parent-teacher conferences and other engagement initiatives.

Staff Support:

  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of administrative and support staff.
  • Coordinate professional development opportunities for staff members.
  • Provide administrative support to school leadership and faculty as needed.

Event Coordination:

  • Plan and execute school events such as orientations, graduation ceremonies, and cultural celebrations.
  • Coordinate logistics including venue booking, catering, and guest invitations.

Community Engagement:

  • Cultivate positive relationships with community organizations, local mosques, and educational institutions.
  • Represent the school at community events and outreach programs.
  • Must be able to engage online community through social sites.

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in school administration or a similar role preferred.
  • Familiarity with Islamic educational principles and values.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Office and Database management.
