MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Int’l Transmission Network O&M

• Coordination of O&M activities of Int’l transmission media with International Carriers, Consortium bodies and PTCL International Transmission for Satellite/SMW-3, SMW-4 and IMEWE cable systems for reliable and efficient network operation
• Preparation of Daily Interruption reports of Int’l Transmission Network.
• PTCL designated Member of O&M Sub Committee of SMW3, SMW4 & IMEWE submarine cable system.
• Preparation of operational budget for Satellite band width and submarine cables & processing of Satellite & SMW3/4 O&M invoices for payment.
• Act as point of Service Activation for Inmarsat services & Invoices verification

Int’l capacity management

• Management of Satellite bandwidth and Carrier based services.
• Coordination with bilateral operators, Intelsat and PTCL Earth Stations for activation, de-activation, up/down gradation and re-grooming of Satellite carriers.
• Link Budget preparation for leased capacity particularly for Domsat and VSAT under Sky-link Service.
• Coordinate with Intelsat/SMW-3/4 and International TX units for activation, de-activation and relocation of SMW-3/4 and Satellite/VSAT circuits.
• Any Other Projects Assigned by the Supervisor
