Job Description
- Assisting in design and implementation of décor of a wide variety of outdoor and indoor events. This would include selection of furniture, layout, colour schemes, materials, lighting, floor /wall / ceiling fixtures and decoration for events and venues.
- Working on technical and layout drawings of projects
- Participating in the creation of preliminary plans and design concepts
- Pitching concept design and idea development with clients
- Performing site analysis, including surveying existing conditions and field measurements
- Researching and collaborating with vendors and partners to assist with product selection and pricing.
Requirements & Skills
- A deep passion, curiosity and understanding for design, furnishing, weddings and corporate events
- Deep appreciation of the importance of beautiful, well designed spaces
- Excellent communication skills
- It's important to have empathy, so that you can see a space or a design problem from the client's point of view
- Team work and management skills
- A strong designing portfolio as the successful candidate is expected to be able to express ideas with anything available at hand
- The ability to work under pressure and attention to detail
- AutoCad and Vectorworks literate for CAD Drawing
- Good command of rendering tools
