Job Description
- The duty of station manager can include hiring, firing, purchasing, accounting and staff supervision.
- The position is involved directly with increasing revenue and problem solving at the station. Communication skills needed to delegate duties to the station staff, as well as working with outside organizations and agencies.
- The station manager may also need to evaluate projects and specific knowledge related to the content of programming.
- The station manager ensures that the station remains in compliance with authority’s regulations, and also creates the internal protocols for station employees and analyzes literature to develop on-air content.
