Linux Administrator

Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and file systems.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high levels of performance and availability.

Security

Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access.

Perform regular security audits and apply patches to address vulnerabilities.

Establish and enforce security policies and procedures.

Backup and Recovery

Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures.

Conduct regular backup tests to ensure data integrity and availability.

Networking

Configure and troubleshoot network settings, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.

Collaborate with network administrators to ensure seamless connectivity.

Scripting and Automation

Develop and maintain scripts for automating repetitive tasks.

Implement automation tools to streamline system administration processes.

Collaboration

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support software development, testing, and deployment activities.

Provide technical support to internal users and address their system-related queries.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator or similar role.

Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, etc.).

Proficient in scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.).

Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, KVM, etc.).

Familiarity with networking protocols and security measures.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
